The road is closed.

The community is advised to avoid the area while the scene is made safe.

Update - Backyard Fire, Weetangera

The area has been made safe and firefighters have now left the scene.

No occupiable structures were damaged.

Springvale Drive has been reopened to the public.

Backyard Fire - Weetangera

A powerline has fallen down and caused a fire to break out in the backyard of a residence on Springvale Drive, Weetangera.

Currowan strike team

Rubbish Fire - Weston

ACT Fire & Rescue crews are currently working to extinguish a rubbish fire on the corner of Tom Bass Terrace and Unwin Street in Weston.

Part of the road is blocked.

Structure Fire - Hume

ACT Fire & Rescue are on scene at a small fire at the recycling facility at Mugga Lane in Hume.

Crews are in attendance with two pumpers and a number of appliances on site.

UPDATE - Grassfire at Phillip

The earlier grassfire at Kitchener Street, Phillip is now under control.

ACT Fire & Rescue will remain in attendance to conduct mop up activities and ensure the area is safe.
