Sixty three residents at a nursing home on Archibald Street, Lyneham had to be evacuated this morning after a gas main was damaged by workers.
Around 230 students have been evacuated from Kaleen High School in Kaleen because of a fire.
It is not believed anyone was home at the time of the incident.
The cause is deemed to be suspicious.
Crews have extinguished the fire.
