When to expect bushfire updates

Hi Canberra, we have noticed some members of the community requesting hourly updates on fires which are burning in NSW, near the ACT border.

We are monitoring conditions and are providing the community information as situations change.

  • Where a fire is NOT burning in the ACT, we will provide updates as the situation changes.
  • Where a fire IS burning in the ACT it will be assigned a warning level and updated as per the national framework.

  • Advice Warning Level: Every 24 hours unless the situation changes
  • Watch and Act Warning Level: Every 2 hours unless the situation changes
  • Emergency Warning Level: Every 30 minutes unless the situation changes
