The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the ACT for very dangerous storms, moving north towards Belconnen, Canberra Civic, South Canberra, Hall and Gungahlin.
Damaging and locally destructive winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding, have been forecast for the over the next several hours.
What you should do NOW:
? Move your car under cover and away from trees.
? Secure or put away loose items around your house and yard.
? Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
? Never drive, ride or walk through floodwater.
