Structure Fire - Yambina Crescent, Waramanga

Just after midnight, ACT Fire & Rescue responded to a structure fire in Yambina Cr, Waramanga.

Six fire trucks worked to contain the fire, which was bought under control and extinguished in approximately an hour.

The property has sustained significant damage. The cause of the fire is unknown and is being treated as suspicious. Once deemed safe by firefighters, the scene will be handed to ACT Policing.

Firefighters have undertaken atmospheric monitoring in surrounding homes and determined it is safe for people to return inside.
