INFORMATION UPDATE - SMOKE IN CANBERRA

As you may be experiencing there is very little wind on the ground.

There is however a higher level southerly wind pushing the smoke from the Orroral Valley Fire through Canberra.

There is a chance later this evening for an easterly wind which may ease the smoke conditions, although smoke is expected to be seen until tomorrow.

People who are sensitive to smoke, especially those with pre-existing heart and lung conditions, should take extra care during these conditions.
