18 new recruits have started their journey to join ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) with ACTF&R College 46, which commenced on Monday, 31 January 2022.
Across the next 21-weeks, the newest recruits will undergo intensive training to prepare for a wide range of emergencies. They’ll learn about fighting fires, road crash rescue, HAZMAT, vertical rescue, medical emergencies and more.
The latest cohort are the successful candidates after a highly competitive recruitment process. ACTF&R College 46 is the third round of recruitment in the ACT Government’s commitment to add 99 additional firefighters across five years.
