ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) have extinguished the kitchen fire at the Observatory Apartments on Philip Hodgins Street, Wright. ACTF&R Hazmat conducted atmospheric monitoring and deemed the building safe to reoccupy. The apartment was handed back to the residents to arrange repairs and all other residents of the Observatory have been allowed to return to their apartments. ACTF&R would like to remind Canberrans to "Don't stop looking while you're cooking".
