ACT Fire & Rescue were called to a fire in a townhouse on Eccles Circuit, MacGregor at approximately 11:50pm last night. The fire started in the kitchen and the occupants were alerted to it and able to self evacuate thanks to a working smoke alarm. Firefighters extinguished the fire, and responded with two pumpers, breathing apparatus unit and a commander.
