In a life threatening emergency dial Triple Zero (000)
More than 200 people have been evacuated from a building on Genge Street, Canberra City, following the activation of an Automatic Fire Alarm.
ACT Fire & Rescue arrived at the scene shortly after 10:30am. Occupants of the building advised there was a smell of smoke on three floors.
No fire was detected during a search. HAZMAT crews are currently conducting atmospheric monitoring of the building to identify the issue.
