Storm and Flood Assistance
The fire is not under control but there is no threat to surrounding properties. Eight units are working to extinguish the fire with support from Air Aviation and Queanbeyan crews from Fire & Rescue NSW.
Residents in Queanbeyan West, Jerrabomberra, Karabar and Harman should stay indoors with their doors and windows closed due to significant smoke in the area.

The Country Rail Network has closed the rail line between Queanbeyan and Canberra. Passengers on the Sydney express service due at 9:15pm will disembark at the Queanbeyan Station on Henderson Street.
