Firefighters on scene at the apartment building on Marcus Clarke Street have completed ventilation of the effected areas and conducted atmospheric testing to confirm all occupants are safe to re-enter the building.
No injures have been reported.
The scene has now been handed over to the building owners and emergency service personnel are leaving the area.
The cause of the fire was determined to be cooking left unattended on a stove.
ACT Fire and Rescue reminds the community: "Don't stop looking while you're cooking".
