A laneway has been blocked off in Kingston following an oil spill.
ACT Fire & Rescue was alerted to the incident in Highgate Lane off Jardine Street just after 11 o'clock this morning.
Fire crews arrived to find approximately 350 litres of cooking oil had come off the truck onto the road and into a nearby drain.
The HAZMAT crew and one fire truck are one scene applying sand and absorbent on the spill.
The EPA and Transport Canberra adn City Services are also in attendence.
