Update - Storm activity in ACT's south

It has been confirmed there is no fire in the Brindabellas.

A helicopter flight over the area this morning did not detect any fire or smoke following lightning strikes near the border last night. The ACT Rural Fire Service is remaining vigilant to the possibility of fires from the evening lightning strikes and is conducting an extensive aerial sweep along the path of the storm.

The ACT community is reminded that a TOBAN remains in place for the ACT and NSW.

The ACT State Emergency Service had several crews on standby overnight but received only seven requests for assistance as a result of the storm. Jobs were fallen trees in the north and were completed by ACT Fire & Rescue.
