An ACT Fire & Rescue fire truck has been involved in a two vehicle accident this afternoon in Tuggeranong.
The fire crew from the new South Tuggeranong station was responding to an emergency call out under lights and sirens when the accident with a car occured at the intersection of Lawrence Wackett Crescent and Tharwa Drive at Calwell just after four o'clock.
ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics have taken the driver of the sedan, a woman and two children who were passengers to the Canberra Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.
Paramedics also assessed four firefighters on scene but they didn't require any further treatment.
Another fire crew was sent to the original call out, a nearby grass fire in Theordore.
