ACT Fire crews are batting a fire at a two storey apartment on Berrigan Crescent in O'Connor.
Firefighters are attacking the fire from the front and rear of the property with both levels involved and the fire spreading to the roof space.
One man in his 20s has been taken to The Canberra Hospital suffering smoke inhalation.
The man, a woman and young child self evacuated.
ACT Fire & Rescue received the call just after 10.25am.
