Potential smoke spread from NSW hazard burn

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will today conduct a ten hectare hazard reduction burn near Carwoola.

The location of the burn is near Captains Flat and Wanna Wanna Roads.

ACT firefighters are not involved in the burn but depending on weather conditions, smoke from this fire may blow over parts of the ACT.

The Health Directorate advises that people with asthma, other chronic respiratory and/or chronic cardiac diseases should not perform vigorous exercise and should stay inside if affected by the smoke. People with asthma in particular should continue their medication and consult their general practitioner if they have any difficulties.
