Small fire extinguished in industrial dryer

Firefighters are currently ventilating a building at Capital Linen, Sandford Street, Mitchell following a small fire in an industrial dryer.

The fire has been extinguished.

89 staff have been evacuated whilst ACT Fire & Rescue crews clear the smoke from the premises.

Fire damage contained to the dryer with no damage to the building.
