Update five - ADVICE - Rendezvous Creek forest fire in Namadgi National Park

A helicopter reconnaissance flight is being undertaken by the ACT Rural Fire Service this morning to determine if there is any fire still burning at Rendezvous Creek within the National Park.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

The area was waterbombed yesterday which extinguished a cluster of fires started by lightning strikes on Sunday.

The chopper will use infrared detection equipment to pick up the presence of any hot spots in the area to determine if any firefighting resources need to be deployed to the scene today.

At the current fire danger level of low-moderate fires can be easily controlled.

There is little to no risk to life and property from this fire.
