ACTSES receive 122 calls for help following windy weather

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received a total of 122 calls for help following the windy weather today.

ACTSES and ACT Fire & Rescue crews have responded to fallen trees and branches across roads, pathways, cars and property.

Some structural damage to pergolas, houses and fences.

Minor damage reported.

Calls for help have been widespread from all areas of the A.C.T.

Residents who require storm or flood assistance can call the ACTSES on 132-500.

Territory and Municipal Services (TAMS) advise that the Woden Cemetery remains closed until further notice due to high winds that pose a risk to public safety.

The Historic Lanyon Homestead will reopen tomorrow from 10am after closing today due to the conditions.
