Advice from the Bureau of Meteorology suggests that the trough and rain band will begin to move slowly to the northeast and weaken later Sunday into Monday, rainfall will cease in the ACT once this trough moves away. The rainfall is expected to become light in the afternoon and clear in the evening. The ACT can expect around from 15 - 35mm of rain throughout the day today. There is little likelihood of hail, strong winds or thunderstorms. Canberra has received 56mm of rain since 9am yesterday.
Flood warnings have been issued for the Queanbeyan and Molonglo Rivers. Queanbeyan River has a Minor Flood Warning in place and was expected to peak at 5.2m at 4am today. The Molonglo River has a Moderate Flood Warning in place and was expected to peak at 5.2m at 7am this morning. These flood heights should not have any impact on the residents of Oaks Estate.
