The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) advise that the Pialligo Redwood Forest fire is being controlled. ESA quickly established 43 appliances from ACT Fire & Rescue, ACT Rural Fire Service, ACT Parks and Conservation Service, Aviation Rescue Firefighting Service, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Fire & Rescue who worked together to contain the fire.

ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Policing are also on scene supporting crews and managing road closures for community safety. Firefighters were supported by 6 aerial assets that water bombed the fire and provided aerial surveillance. This real-time information enabled the Incident Management Team and firefighters to control the fast-moving fire.
