Update - Increased smoke in the ACT

The ACT can expect no break from smoke in the coming days.

Smoke from fires in NSW to the west and south east will reach the ACT no matter the direction of the wind.

There are currently no fires burning in the ACT. ESA will continue to monitor conditions and provide accurate advice to the ACT community.

Please only report fires to Triple Zero (000) if you can see flames or an isolated column of smoke.

Residents are urged to:
> review their Bushfire Survival Plan and know what they will do if threatened by a fire;
> to stay up to date on bushfires and current incidents via www.esa.act.gov.au, the ESA Twitter and Facebook accounts, local media outlets or by calling Access Canberra on 13 22 81;
> stay informed through ACT Health for advice on air quality due to smoke - https://www.health.act.gov.au/; and
> check for information on any parks closures or restrictions via www.environment.act.gov.au.
