In a life threatening emergency dial Triple Zero (000)
Storm and Flood Assistance
A total 87 service personnel specialising in firefighting, logistics, mapping, planning and public information from ACT Emergency Services Agency and ACT Parks and Conservation Service have so far been deployed to assist fighting fires burning in Northern New South Wales and Queensland.
This figure is inclusive of nine ACT Rural Fire Service members who flew to Armidale yesterday, and will work from the Glenn Innes Base Camp.
Deployed firefighters will not impact on fire protection for the ACT.
We wish all crews safe travels and thank them for their commitment and support.
