ACT Emergency Services Agency is aware of a national outage affecting some Telstra mobile network customers.
Telstra has advised that Triple Zero (000) calls will continue to be rerouted through other available networks.
At this stage, we are not aware of any impact to the community’s ability to contact Triple Zero (000) in an emergency, and both ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Fire & Rescue continue to receive emergency calls as normal. ACT Policing’s ability to receive calls to Triple Zero (000) and 131 444 is also unaffected.
In an emergency, members of the community should continue to call Triple Zero (000) in the first instance. If connection issues persist, consider other options such as asking a neighbour to use their device, or using a landline telephone if available.
If a fire alarm is activated in your house, unit or building, you should still call Triple Zero (000).
The ACT Emergency Services Agency will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates if required.
