At approximately 6am this morning, ACT Fire and Rescue (ACTF&R) received a report of a railway carriage alight at the Canberra Railway Museum in Fyshwick. Multiple ACTF&R units responded to find one carriage alight, with fire impinging on another two carriages. Firefighters undertook offensive firefighting operations and have put the fire out. One carriage has been completely destroyed, however firefighting efforts have stopped the fire spreading to the adjacent carriages. ACTF&R and ACT Policing are currently in attendance.
