Severe Weather Warning - Damaging Winds across the ACT

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for damaging winds across the ACT.  Winds of 35-55 km/h with peak gusts in excess of 70 km/h are likely to impact Canberra throughout Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, due to the cold front moving across our region, Canberra can expect some wet weather conditions over the coming days.

If it is safe to do so, the ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) advises the community to:
-Move your car under cover or away from trees
-Take extra precaution when walking outside or driving
-Secure or put away loose items that are outside
-Monitor the conditions, stay up to date with weather warnings through www.bom.gov.au.

Take care and be cautious of the hazardous and unpredictable dangers associated with damaging winds.

If you need support during storms and floods call the ACTSES on 132 500. In a life-threatening emergency call Triple Zero (000).
