Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southern ACT

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the southern ACT. These storms are expected to bring heavy rainfall which could lead to localised flash flooding over the next several hours.

Canberra residents are advised to monitor the conditions as the situation could change.

 

What you should do NOW:

  • Move your car under cover and away from trees.
  • Secure or put away loose items around your house and yard.
  • Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
  • Never drive, ride or walk through floodwater.
