House Fire - Monash

ACT Fire & Rescue have extinguished a small kitchen fire on Barraclough Crescent, Monash.

Firefighters entered to find the home smoke logged and identified burning materials on a stove top.

HAZMAT crews are currently conducting atmospheric monitoring and ventilating the property to ensure it is safe to reoccupy.

Residents were alerted to the fire thanks to a working smoke alarm.

There are temporary traffic diversions in place on Barraclough Crescent and the community is asked to avoid the area where possible.
