Fire Alarm - CIVIC

ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) have concluded operations on Marcus Clarke Street, Canberra City.

 

An electrical fault with an air conditioning unit was found to be the cause of the alarm and evacuation.

 

Firefighters have departed and the building has been handed back to the occupants.

ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) are responding to a fire alarm on Marcus Clarke Street, Canberra City. The building has been evacuated while firefighters investigate.

 

The road is closed at the south end of Marcus Clarke Street. The Community is asked to avoid the area. Update to follow.
