ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) firefighters and members from the ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) have worked through this afternoon assessing homes affected by water in Sturt Avenue, Narrabundah.
ACTF&R and ACTSES have conducted assessments on homes in the area throughout the afternoon. A total of eight homes have been assessed as impacted with minor water damage.
Residents returning to homes this evening who require help for flood damage can call the ACTSES on 132 500.
The residential area of Sturt Avenue is not expected to reopen today.
