Storm and Flood Assistance
ACT Fire & Rescue responded to a fire alarm at the National Convention Centre at approximately 4pm this afternoon. A small fire from a lithium battery was located and extinguished by firefighters. ACT Ambulance Service paramedics will attend to assess one person on site. The building was partially evacuated and one lane of traffic on Constitution Avenue, Civic has been closed. The Hazmat unit is conducting atmospheric monitoring.
