House fire - Palmerston

Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire and smoke coming from the roof of the property.

The fire has now been extinguished and the house has sustained major damage.

Four pumpers, the breathing apparatus support vehicle, a HAZMAT vehicle and two commanders responded.

Emergency service personnel will remain on scene and the street will remain closed until operations are complete.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.
