ACT Rural Fire Service deploys crews to assist NSW

The ACT Rural Fire Service has deployed a strike team to Singleton NSW to assist with a number of remote area fires.

They will be assisting NSW crews with building containment lines while fire conditions are relatively favourable.

The strike team is made up of 25 remote area firefighters, including 6 Rural Fire Service volunteers and 19 Parks Brigade staff.

Currently, there is one ACT Rural Fire Service staff member working in the Singleton area as an Air Operations Manager.

It is expected that the crews will be deployed for the next five days, with an additional team from ACT also being sent later in the week.
