Kitchen fire in Braddon

ACT Fire & Rescue have extinguished a fire in an apartment in Elimatta Street, Braddon.

Multiple crews responded and quickly extinguished the fire.

ACT Ambulance Service Intensive Care Paramedics are currently on scene treating an elderly male for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters believe the blaze started in the kitchen and would like to remind the community to "Don't stop looking while you're cooking."

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 5.17 pm
