Grassfire at Wanniassa Hills

ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Rural Fire Service are working to extinguish a grass fire burning at Wanniassa Hills Nature Reserve.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

There are four units on scene, two from each service, as well as an ACT Fire & Rescue commander.

The fire is approximately 50m by 50m in size and is under control.

The fire is near Long Gully Road and Yamba Drive.

The Fire Danger Rating where this fire is burning is LOW-MODERATE.

Fires burning in LOW-MODERATE conditions can be easily controlled.

There is little to no risk to life and property in the urban or rural areas of the ACT.
