A 38-year-old woman has been treated by intensive care paramedics for minor smoke inhalation following a kitchen fire at a home in Fisher.
The ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Fire & Rescue were called to Bendigo Street at about 2pm.
The woman has been transported to the Canberra Hospital for further assessment. Two children were also home at the time but have not been injured.
The fire began when food caught alight on the stove.
Two pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van and a commander are on scene. Firefighters have extinguished the fire and are checking to ensure the fire has not spread to the roof. Due to significant smoke logging throughout the house, the Hazardous Material Unit has also been called to the home to conduct atmospheric monitoring.
