An ACT Rural Fire Service unit is on scene at Kowen Forest following a reignition of a fire earlier this week.
A hazard reduction pile burn was conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday by the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate.
Strong winds this afternoon have caused the fire reignite and generate smoke again.
The fire is within the original containment lines. The ACTRFS will continue to monitor the situation.
The Bureau of Meteorology reissued a Severe Weather Warning earlier this afternoon for strong winds in the ACT. These are forecast to ease in the coming hours.
