ADVICE - Bushfire in southern ACT

The ACT Rural Fire Service is working to extinguish a bushfire burning at Booth.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

There are eight units on scene plus three helicopters.

The fire is located south of Tharwa near the ACT NSW border.

The fire is approximately one hectare in size and is out of control at this time.

The Fire Danger Rating where this fire is burning is HIGH.

Fires burning in HIGH conditions can be controlled.

Well prepared and actively defended houses can offer safety during a fire.

Embers may be blown ahead of the fire.

Spot fires can occur close to the main fire.
