Fire crews have this evening extinguished a bedroom fire in Stirling
ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Fire & Rescue were alerted to the Incident in Loton Place at approximately 8.30pm and arrived a short time later with an ambulance, 3 fire pumpers, BA support and a hazmat unit.
Quick work from firefighters saw damage contained to the bedroom of the home and intensive-care paramedics treated two people at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Neither was transported to hospital and residents have been allowed to return to the house.
Damage is estimated at approximately 30 thousand dollars and the cause is believed to be a faulty electric blanket.
