A pre approved burn will be conducted tonight by the Rural Fire Service.
It will start around 6pm along Jerrabomberra Avenue in Symonston, covering 0.5 hectares.
Temporary smoke cover may occur around Symonston and Narrabundah.
Every effort is made to conduct the burn in weather conditions that will minimise the impact of smoke in the area.
The Health Directorate advises that people with asthma, other chronic respiratory and/or chronic cardiac diseases should not perform vigorous exercise and should stay inside if affected by the smoke.
People with asthma in particular should continue their medication and consult their general practitioner if they have any difficulties.
