In a life threatening emergency dial Triple Zero (000)
Storm and Flood Assistance
The ACT Emergency Services Agency is currently receiving calls from the public concerned about the presence of smoke across Canberra.
Hazard reduction burns were conducted at O'Connor and Black Mountain near the Gungahlin Drive Extension yesterday.
It is normal for stumps and heavy logs to continue to smoke and some flames may be visible in the interior of the burn after personnel have left the scene.
The ACT Territory and Municipal Services (TAMS) Parks Brigade is continuing to monitor the burn today.
If you see a fire outside of the control lines without a crew or truck in attendance please ring Emergency Triple Zero (000).
There are currently no fires in the ACT.
