Storm and Flood Assistance
The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has now received 228 calls for help following the storms.
In addition to flooding of houses, the ACTSES has received calls about power lines down across roads.
A business on Lithgow Street, Fyshwick has lost half its roof, several other businesses have been affected by fallen trees.
All seven volunteer units are responding to jobs, they include Majura, Woden, Pialligo, Tuggeranong, Belconnen, Rivers and Gungahlin.
Support crews has also been called in from ACT Fire & Rescue.
The severe weather warning for damaging winds and rain is still in place for the ACT and surrounding districts.
Residents requiring assistance should call the ACTSES on 132-500.
