40 patients treated for dehydration at cricket

40 patients were today and tonight treated for mainly dehydration at the Prime Minister's XI match at Manuka Oval.

The ACT Ambulance Service (ACTAS) assisted St John Ambulance volunteers and the event coordinator.

ACT Fire & Rescue and the ACT State Emergency Service also provided support during the event in assisting unwell patients.

A total of two patients were taken to The Canberra Hospital by ACTAS intensive care paramedics.
