Hazard reduction burn at Majura tonight

The ACT Rural Fire Service will be undertaking a hazard reduction burn on the property 'Glenlyle', Majura Road, Majura tonight, Tuesday, 26 November, 2013 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, weather permitting.

The size of the pile burn will be approximately 10 metres x 3 metres.

Two tankers from the Gungahlin Brigade will be on site.

The ACT Handy Map grid reference for the burn is M10.

Temporary smoke cover may occur. Every effort is made to conduct the burn in weather conditions that will minimise the impact of smoke in the area.
The Health Directorate advises that people with asthma, other chronic respiratory and/or chronic cardiac diseases should not perform vigorous exercise and should stay inside if affected by the smoke. People with asthma in particular should continue their medication and consult their general practitioner if they have any difficulties.
