ACT Ambulance Service treat 19 patients for heat related conditions

The ACT Government is asking Canberrans to remember to make sure they drink enough water during the heat today. Keeping cool and hydrated is key to staying safe and healthy during hot summer days.

Most importantly, don't forget your elderly and frail relatives and neighbours, and pay special attention to the health needs of babies and young children who can be adversely affected by the heat.

The ACT Ambulance Service has attended 19 cases from 7am till 3pm today for heat related conditions. The patients aged from 14 years - 90 years with 15 requiring transport to hospital.
