As you will be aware Severe Thunderstorm are impacting the ACT.
The Bureau of Meteorology advise storms and high winds may continue for several hours.
If you require assistance call ACT State Emergency Service on 132 500, or in a life-threatening emergency call triple-zero (000).
The SES is currently responding to a high volume of calls the SES and will respond as quickly as possible.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
* Keep at least 8 metres away from fallen power lines or objects that may be energised, such as fences.
* Report fallen power lines to Evoenergy (131 093) as shown on your power bill. For power outages check Outages - Evoenergy
* Unplug computers and appliances.
* Avoid using the phone during the storm.
* Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets indoors as well.
