Storm and Flood Assistance
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for heavy rainfall, damaging winds and large hailstones for the ACT.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in the ACT.
The ACT State Emergency Service advises the community to:
Move your car under cover and away from trees;
Secure or put away loose items;
Keep at least 8 metres away from fallen power lines;
Stay indoors away from windows;
Never drive, walk or ride through floodwater.
