See you at CFU Saturday

With a dangerous fire season expected, Community Fire Unit (CFU) volunteers will be out and about across Canberra this weekend, spreading the bushfire safety message.

Barbecues will be held at various spots around the Capital as part of CFU Saturday so come along, enjoy the sausage sizzle, meet members of the CFU and possibly sign up.

CFU volunteers will also be on hand to provide vital information about preparing for the upcoming bushfire season – information that can save lives and property.

These volunteers will be protecting the homes of Canberrans living in bushfire prone areas.
The barbecues will be held at the following locations:

CFUs 1, 26 10am-1pm Chapman Shops, Perry Drive, Chapman

CFUs 2, 12, 34 12pm-2pm Jagara Street Park, Jagara Street, Aranda

CFU 23 10am-12pm Curtin Shops, Curtin Place, Curtin

CFU 42 10am-12pm Galway Place and Norman Street, Deakin

CFUs 25, 43, 45, 46 10am-12pm Chifley Shops, Eggleston Crescent, Chifley

CFU 44 11am-2pm Fadden Duck Pond, Bugden Avenue, Fadden

CFU 3 11am-2pm Burns Club, Highland Fling Fete
