See you at CFU Saturday, October 15, 2016

With a dangerous fire season expected, Community Fire Unit (CFU) volunteers will be out and about across Canberra this weekend, spreading the bushfire safety message.

Barbecues will be held at various spots around the Capital as part of CFU Saturday so come along, enjoy the sausage sizzle, meet members of the CFU and possibly sign up.

CFU volunteers will also be on hand to provide vital information about preparing for the upcoming bushfire season – information that can save lives and property.

These volunteers will be protecting the homes of Canberrans living in bushfire prone areas.
The barbecues will be held at the following locations:

CFU 8, 10:30am – 12:00pm Duffy, the Community oval, Settlement Drive

CFU 12, 11:00am – 12:00pm Aranda, 44 Mirning Cr

CFU 26, 10:00am – 12:00pm Chapman Shops, Perry Dr

CFU 43,45,46 &25, 10:00am – 12:00pm Chifley Shops, Eggleston Cr

CFU 42, 10:00am – 12:30pm Deakin, Norman St park between Strickland Cres and Galway Pl

CFU 19 and 44, 11:00am – 12:30pm Fadden duck pond, Bugden Ave

CFU 32, 10:00am – 12:00pm Curtin shops, Theodore St
