ACTAS is seeking to attract the best qualified Ambulance Paramedics from Australia and overseas.

Qualified AP’s are welcome in the ACTAS. After a period of service AP’s can apply for the ICP program.

Graduate Paramedic Intern

Recruitment closed for 2012. Recruitment for 2013 will be advertised in April/May 2013. Once advertised the package will be available from www.jobs.act.gov.au.

ACTAS offers applicants with an approved tertiary qualification a comprehensive three year Graduate Training Program leading to the qualification of Intensive Care Paramedic. *This is the recommended pathway for Registered Nurses who have converted to a paramedic degree via a double degree program or post-graduate diploma programme.

Student Ambulance Paramedic

No recruitment process planned for 2013.

ACTAS has a comprehensive four year Advanced Diploma program leading to the qualification of Intensive Care Paramedic. This program is highly sort after and very competitive. To be competitive in this process applicants should consider seeking emergency service or industry experience (volunteer or through employment), first aid qualifications and a good understanding of medical terminology.
